无论在中国还是欧美国家，家庭聚会都是常见的非正式聚会。两者有一定的共性，但在邀请、准备礼物、赴宴时间、聚会活动、餐桌礼仪、道谢方式等组织形式上又有差别。中国的家庭聚会更注重家庭关系，多在节日聚会；而欧美的家庭聚会更注重社交活动，聚会时间不定。
