“arm”在这并非是胳膊的意思，而是武装的意思。这句俚语的字面意思是“连牙齿都要装”。可不就是全副武装吗？这句话最早源于17世纪的牙买加海盗，因为这些海盗除了配备刀剑，还会用牙齿咬一把刀，以防万一。
