在美国洗衣服与中国不同,很多地方的洗衣房的洗衣机与烘干机都是分开的,就像美国电影中那样。洗衣机的费用每次是1美元左右,通常是4个quarter(25美分为1 quarter),冲洗30分钟; 烘干机是1个quarter 10分钟,一般最少需要烘干30分钟。另外,洗衣服时,要选择衣服的种类,洗普通衣服、衬衫、易变形的衣服要按不同的按钮。同样,甩干机也分高温、中温、常温几挡,可根据衣服的种类选择温度。一般衣服选择高温即可。至于洗涤剂,要根据衣服量的大小,原则是尽量少放,因为放多了有可能会洗不净。
