13 We Need the Sun

People get energy from the Sun. We can see that energy as light. We can also feel the energy as heat. People, animals, and plants need light and heat to live. The Sun helps plants make food. Plants could not grow without the Sun. Without plants, animals and people would have no food.

Although the Sun helps us live, it is very powerful and can be dangerous. Too much time in the Sun is not good for people. A special kind of sun cream helps to protect our skin.
