Mingyu lives in the north of China. She lives in the capital city of Beijing. It is a big city with many people and cars. Mingyu lives in the west part of Beijing. She lives in Fengtai district. Her mother and father work in the city. They travel to work by train. They drive their car to Beijing west railway station and take the train from there. Mingyu's favourite hobby is roller skating. On Saturdays she often drives south with her family to a park where she roller skates.
Mingyu has a cousin who lives in the west of China. Her cousin is named Hualing. She lives in Yunnan province. Hualing does not live in the capital city though. She lives in Lancang. Hualing lives in the countryside because her family grows tea. Her farm is in the north of Lancang on a high hill. Mingyu loves Lancang because of all the nature.
Hualing has a pen friend who lives in the east of China. Her friend's name is Ning and she lives in Fujian province. Ning lived in the capital of Fuzhou until she started school. Then her family moved from the capital city to Quanzhou. It is south of Fuzhou, but also in the east of China. Her favourite hobby is boating at the Wuyi Mountains.
Hualing has a grandmother who lives in the south of China. She lives in Hainan. It is very far south. Haualing's grandmother lives in Sanya in the south of Hainan. Hainan is south of the capital city of Haikou. Hainan is the city that is the farthest south in all of China. The weather there is much warmer than it is in the north of China.
