Sasha is from Russia. His parents work in Beijing so Sasha studies at an international school there. There are children from many different countries who study at his school.
Summer is finished so Sasha and all the other students return to school this week . Their teachers welcome them back into each class. Some of the students study English and some study Chinese. Sasha studies both because Russian is his first language and he needs to learn the other ones.
Each child has a different timetable. The timetable shows the students what subjects they will study. It shows students the day and the time that they will study each subject. All students will start classes at 9:00 a.m. and study for one hour before P. E. every day. All students will study for another hour after P. E. and before lunch. After lunch, students will study for two hours more before they go home at 3:00 p.m.
Sasha loves music. He plays the flute. His favourite day of school is Tuesday because he has music and art classes that day. They are a lot of fun. He also likes to study Chinese. The more he learns, the more he can speak to people in Beijing city. He has Chinese on Tuesday too. In history class on Tuesdays, Sasha will learn about the Great Wall of China this year. Sasha thinks Tuesdays will be very interesting school days.
