Moxibustion bowl or plate is a ceramic round bowl or plate which warms up when holding burning moxa floss. The bowl has the cover with small holes, the plate does not have. The heat intensity varies according to the thickness of the ceramic and can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the pieces of gauze or cotton laid between the heated skin area and the bowl or plate(Figure C11).
