Act I
Aladdin Meets a Bad Magician

Magician:

Aladdin, I'm your uncle.

Would you like to work for me?

Aladdin:

Oh, yes! I will work for you.

Magician:

Then follow me to the hill.

(On the hill the magician makes a fire and throws a magic powder on it.)

Magician:

Abracadabra!

Aladdin:

(Pop!) Wow! A flat and round stone appears!

Magician:

(lifting the stone) Can you see the hole? Go down to the hole.

There you will see a room of gold.

Go through the room.

Don't take any gold.

Then you will see a garden. Go through the garden.

You will see a lamp there. Bring me that lamp!

First, put this ring on your finger.

It can help you.

(Aladdin goes down. He finds the lamp and comes back.)

Magician:

Give me the lamp.

Aladdin:

No! Let me out first!

Magician:

Okay. Stay down there, then!

(The magician places the stone back over the hole and goes away.)

Aladdin:

Bad man! Oh, I am alone here.

I'm scared and cold!

(Aladdin rubs his hands and happens to rub the ring.)

Genie of the Ring:

(Pop!) I'm the genie of the ring!

What can I do for you?

Aladdin:

Take me home! I want to go back home.

阿拉丁遇见坏魔法师

魔法师：

阿拉丁，我是你的叔叔。

你愿意为我工作吗？

阿拉丁：

哦，当然！我愿意为你工作。

魔法师：

那跟我上山吧。

（在山上，魔法师生起了一堆火，并将一把有魔力的粉末洒在火上。）

魔法师：

阿布拉卡达布拉！

阿拉丁：

（砰！）哇！这儿冒出来一块又扁又圆的石头！

魔法师：

（搬起石头）你能看到那个洞吗？

下到洞里去。

在那儿你会看到一个放满金子的房间。

穿过那个房间。

一点儿金子都不要拿。

然后你会看到一个花园。穿过那个花园。

在那儿你会看到一盏灯。把那盏灯拿来给我！

先把这枚戒指戴到你的手指上。它能帮你。

（阿拉丁走下去。他找到了那盏灯并返回洞口。）

魔法师：

把那盏灯给我。

阿拉丁：

不！先让我出去！

魔法师：

好吧。那你就呆在那下面吧！

（魔法师把石头搬回洞口便走了。）

阿拉丁：

坏蛋！哦，这儿只剩我一个人了。

我觉得又怕又冷！

（阿拉丁搓着双手，碰巧擦到了那枚戒指。）

戒指之神：

（砰！）我是戒指之神！要我为你做什么？

阿拉丁：

带我回家！我想回家！

Act II
Aladdin Marries the Princess

Mother:

What's that lamp? It is old and dirty.

Let me clean it.

(She rubs the lamp.)

Genie of the Lamp:

(Pop!) I'm the genie of the lamp!

What can I do for you?

Aladdin:

I want lots of money and jewels.

I want a great house, too.

Genie of the Lamp:

Yes, sir. You can have them.

Aladdin & Mother:

(Pop!) We are rich now!

(Many years passed.

Aladdin is a handsome young man now.)

Aladdin:

(seeing the Princess in the town)

Oh, she is very beautiful. I want to

marry her.

(Aladdin goes to the King.)

Aladdin:

Sire, I want to marry the Princess.

King:

Bring me forty servants with forty bowls of jewels.

And build a golden palace next to mine.

Then you can marry her.

(Aladdin goes back home and rubs the lamp.)

Aladdin:

(Pop!) Genie! I want to marry the

Princess. Help me!

(The next day Aladdin goes to the King.)

Aladdin:

Sire, here are forty servants with forty bowls of jewels.

And look at the golden palace next to yours.

King:

Great! You can marry the Princess.

阿拉丁迎娶公主

母亲：

那盏灯是用来干什么的？又旧又脏的。我来把它擦干净吧。

（她擦了擦那盏灯。）

灯神：

（砰！）我是灯神！要我为你做什么？

阿拉丁：

灯神：

阿拉丁和母亲：

（砰！）我们现在有钱了！

（许多年过去了。

如今阿拉丁长成了一个英俊的青年。）

阿拉丁：

（在城里看到公主）

哦，她太美丽了。我想娶她。

（阿拉丁去见国王。）

阿拉丁：

陛下，我想娶公主。

国王：

让四十名仆人手捧四十钵珠宝来献给我。

还要在我的宫殿旁建一座金子筑成的宫殿。

然后你就可以娶她。

（阿拉丁回到家中，擦了擦那盏灯。）

阿拉丁：

（砰！）灯神！我想娶公主。帮帮我！

（第二天阿拉丁去见国王。）

阿拉丁：

陛下，这里是四十名仆人手捧四十钵珠宝，

还有，请您看看您宫殿旁边那座金子筑成的宫殿。

国王：

很好！你可以娶公主了。

Act III
The Bad Magician Comes Back

Magician:

Aladdin married the Princess. And he is very rich.

The genie of the lamp did all these things.

I must get it back from Aladdin.

(The magician goes to Aladdin's palace.)

Magician:

(dressed as an old man) New lamps for old lamps!

Princess:

My husband has an old and dirty lamp.

I want a new lamp.

(to the magician) Here is an old lamp.

Give me a new lamp, please.

(She gives the magic lamp to the magician.)

Magician:

(laughing) Aha! Now I have the magic lamp!

(He rubs the lamp.)

Genie of the Lamp:

(Pop!) What can I do for you?

Magician:

Take away the palace and the Princess.

Genie of the Lamp:

Yes, sir.

(Aladdin comes back.)

King:

Where is the Princess?

Aladdin:

I don't know. My palace and my wife are gone together!

Where are they?

King:

Find her, or you will die.

坏魔法师归来

魔法师：

阿拉丁娶了公主，而且还变得很富有。

是灯神为他做了这一切。

我得把它从阿拉丁那儿夺回来。

（魔法师来到阿拉丁的宫殿。）

魔法师：

（装扮成一位老人）新灯换旧灯喽！

公主：

我丈夫有一盏又旧又脏的灯。

我想换一盏新灯。

（对魔法师说）这儿有盏旧灯。

请给我一盏新灯。

（她把那盏神灯给了魔法师。）

魔法师：

（笑着）啊哈！现在神灯归我了！

（他擦了擦灯。）

灯神：

（砰！）要我为你做些什么？

魔法师：

把宫殿和公主搬走。

灯神：

遵命，阁下。

（阿拉丁回来了。）

国王：

公主在哪儿？

阿拉丁：

我不知道。我的宫殿和妻子都不见了！

他们到哪里去了？

国王：

把她找回来，不然你就得死。

Act IV
Aladdin Gets the Magic Lamp Back

Aladdin:

What can I do? Where are my palace and my wife?

Oh, I have the magic ring!

(He rubs the ring.)

Aladdin:

(Pop!) Take me to my palace and my wife. Quick!

(Soon Aladdin is in his palace.)

Princess:

Oh, Aladdin! Your lamp is a magic lamp!

But I didn't know that.

Aladdin:

Oh, my wife! It's okay. Then where is the lamp?

Princess:

The magician keeps it with him.

Aladdin:

I have a plan! Be kind to him. Give him a drink tonight.

(The magician comes to the Princess that night.)

Princess:

Let's drink together.

(She puts some sleeping powder in his cup.)

Magician:

Cheers!

(The magician drinks it and falls asleep.)

Aladdin:

I get the lamp again!

(He rubs the lamp.)

Aladdin:

(Pop!) Take this palace, my wife and me back!

And I don't want to see the magician again.

(Soon the palace, the Princess and Aladdin are back.)

Aladdin:

Everything is back. I am happy now.

Princess:

Me, too, Aladdin!

阿拉丁夺回神灯

阿拉丁：

我该怎么办？我的宫殿和妻子到哪儿去了？

哦，我有魔戒！

（他擦了擦那枚戒指。）

阿拉丁：

（砰！）带我去找我的宫殿和妻子。快！

（很快阿拉丁就来到了他的宫殿里。）

公主：

哦，阿拉丁！你的灯是一盏神灯！

可我以前并不知道。

阿拉丁：

哦，爱妻，没关系。那盏灯在哪儿？

公主：

魔法师随身带着它。

阿拉丁：

我有一个主意！你对他好点儿。今晚让他喝点酒。

（那天晚上魔法师来到公主这儿。）

公主：

咱们一起喝点酒吧。

（她把一些安眠药粉放到了他杯中。）

魔法师：

干杯！

（魔法师一饮而尽，然后就睡过去了。）

阿拉丁：

我又得到神灯了！

（他擦了擦灯。）

阿拉丁：

（砰！）把这座宫殿、我的妻子和我都带回去！

还有，我不想再看到那个魔法师。

（很快宫殿、公主和阿拉丁就回到了原处。）

阿拉丁：

一切都回来了。我太高兴了！

公主：
