The Series of Books of Well-known Dictums of Chinese Ancient Books and Records aims at spreading and carrying on excellent national culture and thought and promoting Chinese modern cultural development through traditional artistic form.
This publishing activity is held by School of Continuing Education, Alumni Association, and Academy of Chinese Learning of Tsinghua University, organized and executed by Beijing Bainian Hou De Culture Development Co., Ltd. and Bainian Shu Ren Public Welfare Fund of Tsinghua University Education Foundation.
The well-known dictums are selected from Chinese ancient coeds or records, such as the Four Books, the Five Classics, the Classic of the Virtue of the Tao, ancient Buddhism books, etc. There is a well-known dictum in one page with Chinese and English reference translated text and an elegant calligraphy works which content related to the dictum. At the end of every book there is part of or whole corresponding original text along with phonetic transcription for unfamiliar words, polyphone, etc.
