Abstract In order to explore the implicit theory of the city and the rural of migrant works,we adopted the word association method and the Richter questionnaire as the tools and recruited 547 migrant workers from Chongqing,Tianjin and other places.We found that the city Richter questionnaire of the migrant workers included five factors,namely the yearning for the city,positive emotion,negative feelings,self-awareness,and the attitude to citizens;we also found that the city Richter questionnaire of the rural included five factors,namely contented life,backwardness,beautiful environment,policy deviation,and negative feelings.The results of the test revealed that there were significant differences in the old generation migrant workers’attitudes toward city between the reflect time of the negative one and the reflect time of positive one.The bigger effect sizes were found in the new generation migrant workers.It can be concluded that the new generation migrant workers have more significant positive implicit attitude.
