Abstract In consistent with qualitative research paradigm,the present study indigenously explored the cultural values of the rural community.15 participants were selected with the principle of“purposive sample”and specific strategies combining intensive sampling and snowball sampling.Data was collected with the general processes of grounded theory and the method of unstructured interview.Qualitative analysis software QSR Nvivo 8.0 was used to encode and query data,build relationships and establish the theory.212 open codes were generated,and then 21 selected codes were precipitated,and then forming a selected code:values background-values-individual state.Finally,a theoretical model of values was constructed based on these codes and relationships.Raw material inspection and classified consistency index were utilized to examine the findings.Satisfactory preliminary indices of reliability and validity of the present study were obtained.
