05 DISH AND MRS. SUGAR BOWL

Once there was a big round Dish.

He lived with Mrs. Sugar Bowl.

Dish said,

“Please give me some ice cream!”

“I will not,” said Mrs. Sugar Bowl.“You ran away with Little Spoon.

Go back to the table.”

But Dish would not go back.

Mrs. Sugar Bowl called to the Maid.

She said,

“Dish ran away with Little Spoon.

Go and wash his face.”

But Dish hid behind the door.

He did not like to have his face washed.

Old Mother Hubbard

Went to the cupboard

To get her poor dog a bone.

But when she got there

The cupboard was bare,

And so the poor dog had none.
