Every day I eat three meals. My first meal is in the morning before I come here to teach. This I call my breakfast. At noon I go home to lunch. Noon is at twelve o'clock. In the evening, several hours after I have done my school work,I eat my supper. I always eat my supper at seven o'clock.
I eat my meals together with my family. There are seven persons in my family––my grandmother,my parents,my wife,my children, and I myself.
My children know how to be polite at the table. When they want anything, they use the word “ please. ” Last eveinng my boy wanted some water, and he said,“Please give me some water. ” The day before yesterday,at noon,my girl, who is five years old, wanted a piece of bread, and she said very well, “ Please give me a piece of bread. ” My wife taught them to be polite in saying all these things.

The first meal is in the morning ; that is our breakfast. In the middle of the day we have our lunch. In the evening we eat our supper.
Who cooks the meals for us?
The cook does that. He does that in the kitchen. There is a big fire in the kitchen.
There is a fire in the sitting room, too, because the weather is cold. Winter is coming. The days are short in wintertime, and the nights are long. Winter is the last season of the year. The first season is spring, and the next is summer.
In summer the weather is hot,and we have no fire in the sitting room. But there is always a fire in the kitchen, because we have hot meals in summer and winter.
