In the picture there are four persons––a man，a woman，a boy，and a girl. Do you see them?
The man is the father. The woman is the mother. The father and the mother have one son and one daughter.
The boy is their son. The girl is their daughter.
The father，the mother，the son and the daughter make one family.
The father and the mother are old，but the son and the daughter are young.
Are you young or old?
Who is old?
Is your mother old?

fOUR PERSONS IN A fAMILY
On another page (page 54) of this book is a picture of a family.
There are four persons in that family—a man，a woman，a boy，and a girl.
The man is the father. The woman is the mother. The boy is the son. The girl is the daughter.
Their name is Blackson.
The man and the woman are old. They are about fifty. The boy and the girl are young. They are about twelve or thirteen.
Is your family a large one?
Yes; there are ten persons in our family.
Is your father an old man or a young man?
He is a young man; he is thirty-six years old.
What is your father?
He is a school-teacher.
Does he go to teach every day?
No; he goes to teach only four days a week.
Who is he? He is Wang.
What is Wang? Wang is one of the pupils.
