LESSON 11

GOING FOR A DRIVE

1. John says he is going for a drive. How happy he looks with the whip in his hand!

2. He has a chair for a coach, and a piece of tape for a rein.

3. The horse is his own rocking-horse.

4. The lady inside the coach is his sister’s big doll.

John made a coach out of a chair,

And then as driver sat;

Look how he sits with merry face,

In his brown paper hat.

He took his little sister’s doll,

And with a smile did say,

“Please get into my coach, and we

Will drive to town to-day.”
