1. Never look behind, boys,

When you're on the way;

Time enough for that, boys,

On some future day .

2. Though the way be long, boys,

Face it with a will;

Never stop to look behind

When climbing up a hill.

3. First be sure you're right, boys;

Then with courage strong

Strap your pack upon your back,

And tramp, tramp along.

4. When you're near the top, boys,

Of the rugged way,

Do not think your work is done,

But climb, climb away.

5. Success is at the top, boys,

Waiting there until

Patient
