毕业了，毕业生们有的找工作、有的继续升学深造，毕业阶段是个十字路口，每个人必须做出面向未来的选择。

Henry：I'll miss the days in my university.
William：Really?
Henry：I had been gone through so much here. It was tough, but I made it.I became a real graduate.
William：How do you feel about graduation?
Henry：I feel proud of myself. I am happy my parents both can come for the ceremony.I am a little bit nervous now.Where is my cap and gown?I can’t find them.
William：They are in your dormitory. Do you have any plan for after graduation?
Henry：I was supposed to be a postgraduate, but I got an offer for technology research in a large company.So I think I will take the offer.
William：Congratulation！A decent Job, isn’t?
Henry：Yes, thanks. So what about you?How do you feel about graduation?
William：It is a special day for me. I am feeling like a kind of loss.
Henry：How could it be?
William：Well, I don't know what's going to be while everyone gets good job or goes higher education.
Henry：You didn't have an offer?
William：I got one, but I don't think is a good choice for me. I still want to stay in school and study.
Henry：Then I think you should go graduate School.
William：But I am afraid I can't make it, I heard a lot of people lost the exam.
Henry：Come, you always got an A in college courses. You will make it.

威廉：真的吗？
亨利：在这里经历了很多。不容易，但是最后还是毕业啦。成为一个真正的毕业生。
威廉：毕业了有什么想法？
亨利：我感到很自豪啊。很高兴父母能来参加毕业典礼。现在有点紧张。我的毕业帽和礼袍呢？我找不到它们了。

威廉：对我来说是特别的一天，有点失落感。
亨利：怎么可能？
威廉：嗯，我不知道将要干嘛，而每个人都得到好工作或继续攻读高学位。
亨利：你没有找到工作吗？
威廉：找到一个，但是我不觉得是个好差事。我想继续学习。
亨利：那么你该去念研究生。
威廉：但是恐怕我达不到哇，听说很多人考试失败了。
亨利：加油！大学里你每次考试都得好成绩，你肯定行的。

美国举行毕业典礼（commencement）的时候，会场周围会插上旗子，国旗，校旗。大学的毕业典礼，还会有留学生的国旗。在美国，毕业典礼寓意“新的开始”，所以是隆重、欢乐的场面，而国内毕业典礼气氛庄重，毕业生们挥泪惜别。
国外毕业典礼的流程一般是这样的：
1 入场：放入场音乐，毕业生们穿毕业服，家人们（一般学生都希望家长参加）身穿正式点的，入座。屏幕播放照片，学校宣传片等。
2 毕业典礼开始：放国歌（National Anthem），全体起立唱国歌，也放校歌。
3 演讲：有的是校长演讲，有的邀请名人甚至总统、政要等做演讲。然后是学生代表演讲，发感言。
4 发证书：演讲完之后，由校长颁发毕业证书（certification）。
5 拍照留念：这人生“里程碑”式的时刻，毕业生不会错过与家人、朋友、同学拍照留念。
6 毕业派对：有的学校举行派对，或者几个家庭好友一起在家举行聚会。
