英语里称银行为Bank，原意是“长凳、椅子”，因为它是古代欧洲货币兑换商的主要办公用具。Bank就具有“存钱柜”的含义。而中文里“银行”源于白银是主要货币之一，“银”代表货币，而“行”代表票行。所以合起来就是“银行”。

2 开户时要了解最小额度（minimum sum），汇率（exchange rate）和利率（interest rate）。
3 填写资料所需文件（documents）：passport（护照）letter or certificate of enrolment（入学通知书）或其他材料：driver license（驾照）birth certificate（出生证明）credit card（用卡）debit card（借记卡）reference from your employer（雇主推荐）
4 在开账户时，银行会给你一本支票簿（checkbook），你可以用它在需要时取钱。
