Foreword by Chairman of Temasek Foundation

It is nearly five years since the Temasek Foundation——China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee China MBA Schools Faculty Development and MBA Capacity Building Programme was first launched in June2008.Since then，there has been tremendous progress in the sharing and learning among the MBA deans，faculty and administrative directors from the participating MBA schools and universities.

The discussions in pedagogy，research and business cases have benefitted the universities and the individuals who have participated in the Temasek Foundation programme.I am heartened to know that these exchanges have led to Asian business case studies that can be used to further industry practices and guide senior management of public and private enterprises to make strategic management decisions.Some of these business case studies developed in this programme have won recognition as China’s top 100 business cases and at least one such case will be published through Harvard Business Publishing.I also understand that through this programme，all participating western-interior business schools have gone on to establish the Executive MBA（EMBA）programme and some are even going ahead to consider introducing the International MBA（IMBA）programme.These are major achievements in academia that would shape the industries and economies of tomorrow，both in China and in the region.
