Lila is such a happy girl. She might be the happiest girl in the whole world! Everywhere she goes she wears the biggest and brightest smile upon her face. People always ask her, "Lila, what is your secret?"
"There is no big secret," answered Lila. "It's simple. Just smile for five minutes when you wake up in the morning! Then, the rest of your day you will feel carefree and jolly." Then she gives them a great, big smile and walks away.
Most people can't understand Lila's answer. They just laugh and continue walking. Then, one day, a boy asked her, "What do you mean ‘smile for five minutes a day'? How can that make you happy?"
"Just try for yourself, and see how you feel. When you start to feel happy, you'll know that it's real."
