小公主生日的时候，国王送给她一个精致的金球。小公主别提有多喜欢这个金球了，走到哪里都带着它。
Once upon a time,there was a king.He had several daughters and the youngest princess was the most beautiful one.People called her Little Princess.
On the twelfth birthday of Little Princess,the king gave her a golden ball as her birthday gift.She liked it very much.
皇宫后面有一片森林，森林里有一个深不见底的水潭。小公主常常在水潭边玩。每当感到无聊的时候，她就会拿出金球，先把它抛到空中，再伸手接住。这是她最喜欢的游戏。
有一天，小公主像往常一样在水潭边玩。她取出金球，抛向空中。可是这一次她用力太猛了，金球没有落回她的手里，而是扑通一声掉进了水潭。金球很快就沉了下去，水面泛起了一圈又一圈的涟漪。
There was a deep pool in the forest behind the palace.Little Princess often went there.Whenever she felt bored,she would take out the ball,toss and then catch it.It was her favourite game.
One day,she went to the pool as usual.She tossed the ball but failed to catch it.The ball dropped into the pool and disappeared.
