从前，有一座美丽的城堡，城堡里住着国王和王后。他们什么都不缺，就是一直都没有孩子。国王和王后日日夜夜地祈祷，盼望上天能赐给他们一个孩子。
一天，刚下过雨，天边挂着一道美丽的彩虹。王后虔诚地在河边祈祷：“请让我有个孩子吧！”突然，一只青蛙跳出水面对王后说：“你的愿望会实现的！不久以后，你就会有个女儿！”
Once upon a time,there lived a king and a queen.They prayed every day for a child.But they never had one.
One day,the queen went to the river after rain.She prayed again,“Dear God,please bless us with a child.”At that moment,a frog jumped out of the water.He said to the queen,“You will have a daughter soon.”
没过多久，王后果然生下了一个小公主。她有着雪一样白的肌肤、蓝宝石般的大眼睛和像玫瑰花瓣一样娇美的嘴唇。
国王和王后高兴极了。国王说：“我要举办一场盛大的宴会，让全国人民都知道这个好消息！”王后说：“是的，陛下。咱们要把仙女们请来，请她们赐福给咱们的小宝贝。”国王点点头，“嗯，她们将是我们最重要的客人！”
Before long,the queen had a really beautiful baby girl.The king and the queen were very happy.The king said,“I will hold a big party for our daughter,and everybody will know the good news.”The queen said,“We should invite the fairies.They will bless our daughter.”“Yes,they shall be our most important guests,”the king agreed.
王国里住着十三个仙女，其中十二个都非常善良，另外一个却邪恶而歹毒。国王只有十二只金盘子可供仙女使用，因此那个邪恶的仙女理所当然地没有受到邀请。
盛大的宴会隆重地举行了，仙女们为小公主送上一份份有魔力的祝福：
“她将拥有最高尚的品德！”
“她将成为王国里最漂亮的人！”
“她将成为世界上最聪明的人！”
……
There were thirteen fairies in the kingdom.Among them,twelve were kind;one was evil.The king did not invite the evil fairy to the party.
At the party,each fairy gave a blessing to the princess.
“She shall be kind.”
“She shall be beautiful.”
“She shall be clever.”
The fairies gave the princess every good thing in the world.
