发音时舌后部抬起，舌身后缩，舌尖离开下齿。双唇收圆并突出，上、下唇收得小一些，差不多小指头指尖般大小即可。上下齿自然分开。

是 的长元音，发这个音时声音要拉长。发音时双唇尽量前凸，紧收成圆。舌身后缩，舌后部尽量向软腭抬起，舌位比 高；这是后元音中舌位最高的一个。
